Calculate the entitlement, balance and its value, calculate the upcoming leave and its advance pay, and print the leave form. We store nothing.

1. Service details

The calculation date defaults to today; the balance is calculated up to this date.

2. Leave policy

If your company gives 22 working days with Friday and Saturday as rest days, choose company policy and working days. Otherwise keep the statutory policy.

Statutory or company policy, the day unit and rest days.

21 days a year, then 30 days from completing 5 continuous years (Article 109).

Leave empty to keep the same number; there is no automatic increase.

Total leave taken since hire, in the selected policy unit.

Add each leave taken: a period from and to, or the service year and its number of days. The table is shown year by year. Taken leave: from and to dates, or the service year and its days.

Adds leave taken with a from and to date, or with a number of days for a service year.

Annual Leave: Common Questions

1. How many days is the annual leave?

21 days a year, rising to 30 days once the employee completes five continuous years with the employer (Article 109). A contract or company policy may grant more, and the calculator supports a company policy.

2. How is the leave balance calculated?

Leave accrues in proportion to the length of service: 1.75 days for each month (21 days a year), and 2.5 days after completing five years (30 days a year). The leave already taken is then deducted.

3. Do public holidays count against annual leave?

No. If Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha, National Day or Founding Day falls during annual leave, the leave is extended by the number of holiday days (Article 24 of the Implementing Regulations of the Labor Law). The calculator extends it automatically.

4. When is the leave pay paid?

In advance, before the leave starts (Article 109). The calculator also offers a "With salary" option where that is the practice in the company.

5. Can an employee take cash instead of the leave?

Not during employment. An employee cannot waive the leave or take cash for it while still in service (Article 109). The remaining balance is paid when the employee leaves, as part of the end of service settlement (Article 111).

6. How is the leave balance valued when leaving work?

Balance days × actual wage ÷ 30, since a month is 30 days under the law (Articles 2 and 111). You can carry the value over to the settlement in the End of Service Calculator in one click.

7. Can the leave be postponed to the following year?

Yes. The employee may postpone the leave, or some of its days, to the following year with the employer's consent (Article 110).
